University of Lahore

The University of Lahore established a new institution “University Institute of Medical Lab Technology UIMLT” in September, 2012 under the umbrella of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS). UIMLT started its journey with launching of “BSMLT (4 Years, 8 Semesters)”, later on BSMLT advanced into “DMLS (Doctor of Medical Lab Sciences)” undergraduate program with total number of 180 students and faculty of 18 excellent teachers including Professor, Assistant Professors, Senior Lecturers and Lecturers.

Moreover, our department is offering postgraduate degrees too. The Degree and Courses offering in UIMLT designed according to the scheme of studies approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, so as to meet the national and international standards. Our main focus is on hands-on laboratory training with basic concepts and experimental techniques.

Students are trained through practical training in the scientific organizations and industry by organizing a meaningful internship program.
The University welcomes International students for whom special seats have been allocated in various programs of studies. In the recent years, it has attracted students from Canada, Turkey, Palestine, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Uganda and Somalia etc.

In March 2012 the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences was established which in December 2012 is marked with accomplishments in the areas of academia, research and extracurricular activities. Due to full support from the Chairman BOG, The University of Lahore, bold initiatives were taken for launching new departments this year.
