Lecture on Stress Management

Stress management is a wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapies aim at controlling a person's level of stress, especially chronic stress, usually for the purpose of improving everyday functioning. In this context, the term 'stress' refers only to a stress with significant negative consequences, or distress.

On 6th August 2018, University Institute of Medical Lab Technology (UIMLT) arranged a Lecture on Stress Management. Esteemed speaker Prof. Dr. Mati ur Rehman, Principal RIPHA University was invited to highlight the stress problems among people. In his talk, he addressed the underlying causes of stress. Furthermore, he elucidated how can people learn to manage  stress and also explicated valuable tips  to keep stress at bay. In this interactive session, the participants shared their stress experiences to get advice. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Mati ur Rehman talked  about some  relaxing techniques to compete stress such as prayer, meditation and yoga,  and  to manage time effectively for   hobbies,  rest and sleep, and  for developing  social rapport.

At the end, Prof. Dr. Nazar Ullah Raja, Head of Department UIMLT gave vote of thanks to esteemed guest speaker Prof. Dr. Mati ur Rehman.
